USA Football to Host International Bowl X in January at Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium

INDIANAPOLIS – The 10th annual International Bowl Series featuring 16 high school-aged teams spanning nine countries on three continents will return to Arlington, Texas for the fifth consecutive year in January, USA Football announced today.

Eight U.S. national teams will compete against teams representing Canada, Japan, Mexico, Panama and the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. A member of the U.S. Olympic Committee and the sport’s national governing body, USA Football manages the International Bowl and organizes U.S. National Teams for international competition.

“We’re excited to return to North Texas for the tenth annual International Bowl. Arlington is a premier football destination to unite top football talent from around the world,” USA Football CEO SCOTT HALLENBECK said. “This is an exciting time for our young athletes who will learn from top coaches and represent their country during a week of practices and games against outstanding international competition in AT&T Stadium.”

Recognized as American Football’s largest annual global competition, International Bowl X will feature two gamedays across four age divisions. Game days are Friday, Jan. 11 and Friday, Jan. 18, each consisting of four games. Game tickets may be purchased at www.internationalbowl.com.

All International Bowl games will be played at AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and college football’s Goodyear Cotton Bowl and streamed live on ESPN3.

“USA Football and the world recognizes our community as a global football destination,” Arlington Mayor JEFF WILLIAMS said. “We’re excited to host the International Bowl for the sixth consecutive year. Cheering on the passion of high school-aged players from nine countries in our world-class AT&T Stadium underscores how football unites us in uncommon, powerful ways. We’re humbled to host more than 500 coaches and athletes from three continents to celebrate football – American football – and its time-honored team values.”

Age divisions of competing national teams are Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19. Each age group includes one U.S. Select Team and National Team, respectively. The 10th annual event will feature 10 days of team activities, practices and games.

According to the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau, the 2018 International Bowl generated an economic impact of more than $3.1 million for the city, encompassing more than 7,000 hotel room nights for the event’s athletes, coaches and administrators. More than 275,000 fans across the world watched 2018 International Bowl games from AT&T Stadium in person, on television and through webcasts.
