ARLINGTON CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU UNVEILS NEW RESPONSIVE TOURISM WEBSITE
"We landed on ‘Pursue Happy’ as our new tourism campaign because it so effectively sums up the reason why millions of people visit the American Dream City every year"

New site coincides with launch of Arlington’s new tourism marketing campaign, “Pursue Happy”

ARLINGTON, TX— The Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau (Arlington CVB) has unveiled a new website (arlington.org) design created to provide improved assistance to visitors to the Arlington area, which attracts more than 6 million tourists from Texas and beyond each year.

Notable Website Features Include:

  • Responsivie.
  • A downloadable Visitor Guide.
  • Hotel listings sortable by Arlington attraction proximity.
  • A quick-access list of Arlington meeting/conference venues.
  • A meeting planner toolkit.
  • Detail-rich spotlights on Arlington eateries, pubs, and live music destinations.
  • Planning resources for Arlington leisure travelers.
  • A blog with articles and insights that provide local commentary and “Arlington insider” information to help visitors get the most out of their stay.
  • An overview of transportation options.
  • A comprehensive guide to Arlington parks and outdoor spaces.

“Visitors and locals use the Arlington CVB website, so clearly they are relying upon us to help them book that perfect hotel, find a restaurant, plan a visit to Six Flags Over Texas or the International Bowling Museum, find out about the big events in Arlington, or identify a location for an important business meeting or conference,” said Ronnie Price, President & CEO of the Arlington CVB. “As experts about all things Arlington, it’s up to us to make sure that these visitors have access to the information and insights that they need to create a first-class Arlington experience.”

Price said that the new website will prove handy for Arlington residents, too.

“If you’re new to Arlington, want to show your friends and family a good time, or if you’d like to rediscover and fall in love again with your own city, our website (and social media channels) are the destinations of choice,” he said. “Even longtime Arlington residents will discover something that he or she didn’t know before.”

The new website coincides with the launch of a new outer-market tourism campaign for the city: “Pursue Happy”.

“We landed on ‘Pursue Happy’ as our new tourism campaign because it so effectively sums up the reason why millions of people visit the American Dream City every year,” said Decima Cooper, Senior Director of Marketing & Public Relations. “They come to Arlington looking to create lifetime memories with their families at Six Flags, or to experience the thrill and excitement of watching the Texas Rangers play at Globe Life Park, or to enjoy a special evening at one of our large events, have a business meeting that might include an opportunity to watch the Dallas Cowboys play at AT&T Stadium. Arlington offers one-of-a-kind experiences that people can’t get anywhere else. What better place to pursue happy?”

Price said that the campaign also dovetails with the City of Arlington’s brand, “American Dream City.”

“For decades, Arlington has been a place where people have chosen to live because of the area’s opportunities,” he said. “Arlington’s a city where you can attend great schools, buy an affordable home, easily access other parts of Dallas-Fort Worth, find jobs or start your own business – in other words, pursue a lifetime of happiness.”
